Mosaiq (“Mosaiq”, “we”, “us”) provides a media-player application and website (mosaiq.tv) that lets you organize and play your own IPTV service (an M3U playlist or Xtream Codes account that you provide). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Mosaiq does not sell your personal data.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, an optional display name, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in readable form).
- Your IPTV source details: the server URL and, for Xtream accounts, your username and password. These belong to a service you subscribe to. Your credentials are encrypted at rest and are used only to fetch and play your own content.
- Usage & library data: watch progress, favorites, lists, and (if you use it) the text of your AI search queries, kept to power those features.
- Technical data: the IP address captured at sign-up (to limit abuse) and standard cookies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences.
- Billing data: if you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer/subscription identifier and your plan status — we never see or store your card number.
How we use it
- To run the service: authenticate you, connect to your IPTV source, play your content, and match titles to posters and information.
- To provide optional features you choose to use (AI search, recommendations).
- To process subscriptions and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
Third-party services we rely on
- Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe’s privacy policy).
- OpenAI — when you use AI search, your query text is sent to OpenAI to interpret it and generate results. Do not include personal information in search queries.
- TMDB and OMDB — title names are used to fetch public posters, cast, and metadata.
- Email delivery — to send verification and sign-in codes and account emails.
We do not provide, host, or control any TV channels, films, or streams. All content comes from the IPTV service you supply. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access it.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (a secure, http-only session cookie) and to remember choices such as your active source and display preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Data retention & security
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Credentials for your IPTV source are encrypted at rest; passwords are hashed. You can delete your account at any time (see below), which removes your personal data and sources from our systems.
Your rights & choices
- Access, correct, or delete your account data — contact us at the address below, or use the in-app account controls.
- Disconnect an IPTV source at any time in the app.
- Cancel a subscription from your account or the Stripe billing portal.
Children
Mosaiq is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email.
